British Trams Online is always on the look out for news and photos from tramways across the British Isles. Whether it be a tram being delivered, a new livery or any other piece of news we want to hear from you! All submissions should be sent to gareth@britishtramsonline.co.uk. As well as topical news and photos we are also still seeking archive photos for our Picture in Time series. Thanks to everyone who does send submissions.

Metrolink services to resume to Rochdale from 19th August
A full Manchester Metrolink service between Oldham Mumps and Rochdale Town Centre will resume from Monday 19th August. Trams had been suspended on this section since 10th July after a landslip at Derker.

Manchester Metrolink 3075 has received its eighth advert following the application of new vinyls for Cano Water. The new advert was added to the tram in early August with it first being noted in use on 6th August 2024.

Metrolink strikes confirmed for July
Members of Unite the Union are set to strike for three days between Thursday 25th and Saturday 27th July over what the union call a woeful pay offer and anger over the unfairness of the overall pay structure.
