South Yorkshire transport operators will again be supporting Armed Forces Day by offering free travel to serving members of the Armed Forces and veterans.

The next planned set of engineering works on the South Yorkshire Supertram network will be taking place on the Blue route over the weekend of Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June.

South Yorkshire Supertram have launched a new Community Ambassador Volunteer Programme, a corporate social responsibility initiative designed to support the continued improvement of the tram network whilst also strengthening connections with communities across the region.

Thursday 9th April 2026 saw the first additional stop to open on the South Yorkshire Supertram tram-train line since it originally opened in 2018 with Magna welcoming its very first passengers.

There will be no services on the South Yorkshire Supertram Tram-Train route between Meadowhall South and Rotherham Parkgate after 1700 on Saturday evenings in April to allow Network Rail to complete drainage works.
