Blackpool Transport issued with improvement notice

Blackpool Tramway timetable to be tweaked

A revised tram timetable will run on the Blackpool Tramway from Sunday 17th May with the changes aimed at delivering a more robust service for passengers across the tramway.

In Pictures: Bolton 66 tours the Blackpool Tramway

Friday 8th May 2026 saw the second heritage tram to carry passengers on the Blackpool Tramway within a week when Bolton 66 ran for the first time since 2024 on a private tour of the tramway.

Blackpool Council consult on introducing a PSPO to the tramway

Blackpool Council have started a consultation where they are seeking the views of the public on whether a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) should be introduced on the tramway.

Tramtown to remain closed permanently

Cllr Paul Galley, local Conservative Councillor and Tramtown Volunteer Coordinator, has announced via his regular video updates that he has been informed by the new management at Blackpool Transport that Tramtown will not be reopening.
