Photos: Beamish – March 2026

This week there are updates this week to the Beamish Tramway (photo links), Douglas Bay Horse Tramway (last operating dates), East Anglia Transport Museum (last operating dates), Edinburgh Trams (photo links), Manchester Metrolink (adverts removed and tram out of service), Nottingham Express Transit (photo links), Seaton Tramway (last operating dates), South Yorkshire Supertram (photo links), Tyne & Wear Metro (trains scrapped and train into service) and West Midlands Metro (tram bacn in use and photo links) Fleet Lists. There are also updates to the Manchester Metrolink (adverts removed) and Nottingham Express Transit (photo links) Advert Lists.

The only standard gauge heritage tramway in the UK which runs throughout the year is that at Beamish where the trams cover some of the highest mileage of all as they go round and round the circular tramway. On 20th March 2026 there were two trams in service at the museum and this image shows both of them passing at the Pockerley tramstop. On the left is Sunderland 16 and it is joined by Sheffield 264.
