Around the World in Trams: Stockholm 615+331

Its time for another outing for “Around the World in Trams” as we feature a photo of another tram in Stockholm.

This photo shows a motor and trailer combination working on the heritage service in 2007. The trailer is 615, a Hagglund B31 which was originally built in 1952 for use in Gothenburg (numbered 424) when it was a Hagglund S27. It moved to Stockholm in 1988 when it received the number 615.

Since this photo was taken it has moved on again when it went to Malmkoping for further heritage use. This move happened in around 2017.

The motor is 331, which can trace its history exactly the same as 615. Gothenburg to Stockholm to Malmkoping.
