This week, for our final main site update of the year, we take a look back at what has been new in 2024 in another photo collection:

Photos: New in 2024

There are updates this week to the East Anglia Transport Museum (photo links), Edinburgh Trams (photo links), Great Orme Tramway (photo links), Manchester Metrolink (advert removed and photo links), Tyne and Wear Metro (train into service and photo links) and West Midlands Metro (tram back into service and photo links) Fleet Lists along with the Edinburgh Trams (photo links) and Manchester Metrolink (advert removed) Advert Lists.

  • This will be the last main site update of 2024 so we would like to wish all readers and contributors of British Trams Online a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! We will continue to have updates throughout the festive period before the main site is updated again in early January 2025. Please note comments on the News & Features page will not be approved between at least 24th December and 1st January with the “offices” closed in this period.

Weekends in December in the lead-up to Christmas see the East Anglia Transport Museum open for “Ride the Lights” which includes the rare opportunity to travel on the trams and trolleybuses after dark.
