New in 2024

As we come towards the end of another year it is traditional to take a look back at the outgoing year. In this collection we take a look at what was new during 2024, whether that be a tram running which didn't run in 2023, a new livery or even a new route opening.

This isn't a complete picture of everything which was new (if we featured every single new advert livery in Edinburgh and Manchester we'd be here until next Christmas!) but just a mere selection to show that although we think things never change, they often do!

We feature photos from Blackpool, Crich, East Anglia Transport Museum, Edinburgh Trams, Manchester Metrolink, Nottingham Express Transit, South Yorkshire Supertram, Tyne and Wear Metro, and West Midlands Metro.

Photographers: Roy Calderwood, Mark Cufflin, Simon Edwards, Trevor Hall, Ryan Hartley, Steven Hughes, Michael Morton, Gareth Prior, Oliver Shenton, Tony Stevenson
