In the lead up to this year’s Remembrance commemorations, South Yorkshire Supertram are once again showing their respect with poppies being added to trams. Both the Siemens-Duewag trams and the Citylink tram-trains have been receiving the poppies – the standard trams get poppies on the side of the cab windows whilst the tram-trains get vinyl poppies on the ends of the vehicle. 399 203 showcases the vinyl poppies as seen on the tram-trains. The lamppost on the tramstop also has a poppy affixed.
A contrast in poppy styles as 110 arrives at Cathedral and shows us the external poppy affixed to the side of the cab. 399 203 is alongside. (Both Photographs by Stuart Cooke, 2nd November 2026)
