Blackpool Transport have released details of their nominations at the forthcoming Global Light Rail Awards, due to take place in London on 7th October 2026. Their nominations come mainly away from the operation of the system with the marketing and sales teams being recognised for their work whilst there is also a nomination in the Rising Star category.
Bradley Jones, a duty manager, has received a nomination as a Rising Star. This category looks to find someone working in the light rail sector who looks set to be the future of ensuring things continue for many years to come.
Blackpool Transport are also nominated in the Best Customer Initiative category for the Festival Family Saver ticket which encouraged people to make the most of public transport when visiting Christmas events in the resort.
The Sales team have also received a nomination as Team of the Year after boosting revenue and taking customer service to the next level.
