Tuesday 8th October saw a collision between a car and a tram on the Ashton-under-Lyne line of Manchester Metrolink leading to one man being taken to hospital and the suspension of services whilst the emergency services attended.

The next set of major engineering works on Manchester Metrolink, which will see a revised service in operation, will be on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October. This time there will be essential rail replacement work taking place around Conbrook.

This summer seems to have been the summer of improvement works across UK tramways and whilst most others have now finished Manchester Metrolink is on another phase with a three week project on Mosley Street in Manchester City Centre.

It is another case of one advert gone and one advert here on Manchester Metrolink as 3061 has returned to the yellow and silver fleet colours whilst 3097 has now received a new advert.
