Manchester Metrolink services on the line out to Ashton-under-Lyne were disrupted twice within a week after collisions between trams and cars.

Visitors to Manchester Metrolink may recently have noticed new safety notices around the tramway as the network becomes the third in the UK to adopt the LRSSB led nationwide safety campaign already seen in Blackpool and Edinburgh.

Manchester Metrolink 3061 is on to its fourth different advert of the year following the application of new vinyls for asos. This new ad was first seen out on the track during the week commencing 11th November 2024.

Another short-term advert livery in Manchester has been removed with 3099 now back into standard fleet livery. The tram had previously been advertising limited edition Fanta Beetlejuice.

The recent spate of collisions involving trams and other road vehicles has continued with the latest tram victim being Manchester Metrolink 3052 which was struck in Oldham Town Centre.
