There are more livery changes to report of in Manchester with one new advert and one advert being removed. 3081 is the latest tram to get new advertising vinyls whilst 3038 and 3047 have both gone back to yellow and silver.
3081 is now advertising a David Hockney exhibition which is taking place at Aviva Studios between 10th December and 25th January (with the tram debuting just before the start of the exhibition). It’s a relatively simple advert which is mainly blue and includes limited on-window vinyls.
This advert is a direct replacement for an advert for Juneyao Airlines which had been applied to the tram in September 2024. The tram has now had no fewer than eight different ads (half of which have been during 2024). Other previous ads have been:
IKEA – May-December 2019
Starling Bank – July-August 2022
GetOnBoard – October-December 2022
Hard Rock Café (Messi Chicken Sandwich) – July-October 2023
Delicia Drench Body Butter – March-May 2024
Autotrader – July-September 2024
Whilst 3081 is now carrying an advert, two other trams have returned to fleet livery. First tram to go back to the yellow and silver was 3038 which lost its advert for Get On Board and that was followed by 3047 which had previously advertised Greater Manchester Good Employment Week.
3081 also carried “Brief Encounter” livery briefly from November 2023, and then “Delicia Drench”.
