Season tickets prices to increase through NETGO! app

Nottingham Express Transit have announced that there will be a small increase in season ticket prices purchased through the NETGO! app as from Monday 10th January 2022. The aim of the increase is to “bring all of our season ticket prices in line with each other” and affects 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and annual season tickets.

In Pictures: Balloon 700 on tour for the Fylde Tramway Society

Having missed a year because of a certain global pandemic, Tuesday 28th December 2021 saw the Fylde Tramway Society’s Christmas Tour take place. And if the fact that the tour was back wasn’t exciting enough it included the use of Balloon 700 in its relatively recently applied new coat of wartime green and cream paint – for many the first chance to catch a glimpse and a ride on the new look tram.

More Metrolink improvement works in the early part of 2022

There will be major works taking place on the Manchester Metrolink network in the early part of 2022 with line closures being seen at various points in the first three months of the year. We have already seen the start of these works with closures through Victoria but in the coming months there will be other areas of work including no services on the Eccles line for over a week in February and major changes for services through Manchester City Centre for a week during March.

Performance continues to fall on the Tyne and Wear Metro

In the last performance article on the Tyne and Wear Metro we mentioned how low performance had fallen – but if that was low then what does that make the latest set of figures with a further 2% decrease seeing the number of trains considered as on time recorded below 70% for the first time in a long while.

Metrolink 3134 enters service

The latest Manchester Metrolink M5000 to be delivered to the city has now started to run in service with 3134 being noted in action on Friday 24th December 2021 meaning that once again it took less than a month from delivery to carry its first fare paying passengers.
