Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours will be back this forthcoming May Day Bank Holiday weekend with another special event taking place over all three days between Saturday 30th April and Monday 2nd May. Again being marketed under the “Vintage Weekend” banner the weekend is similar to the event which took place in February (although we expect without the added attraction of snow!) with hop-on, hop-off tours, depot tours, bus tours and Evening Tours all due to take place.
What’s Going On over the weekend?

The timetable is available at https://blackpoolheritage.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/event-timetable-may-22-page-001-1-scaled.jpg.

How Much will it cost?
A similar pricing structure to the Vintage Weekend in February will be in place which means you can either buy tickets for individual tours, buy a hop-on, hop-off day ticket or but 1, 2 or 3 day Event passes.
Hop-on, hop-off unlimited travel – Adults: £18, Child: £9
1 Day Event Pass – £30 (includes hop-on, hop-off ticket, an evening tour (depending on the day as to whether this is the Ghost Tram, Starr Gate Special or Fleetwood Special), depot tour and bus tour)
2 Day Event Pass – £50 (includes hop-on, hop-off ticket, 2 evening tours, depot tour and 2 bus tours)
Weekend Event Pass – £60 (hop-on, hop-off ticket, 3 evening tours, depot tour and 3 bus tours)
When you consider that a hop-on, hop-off ticket costs £18, the Weekend Event Pass with the added attractions on offer actually provides pretty good value for money showing making a full weekend of it makes sense!
Details of tram allocations for the weekend will be announced closer to the event. Keep an eye on the Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/BlackpoolHeritageTramTours for full details and we will try and update this site as and when the announcement is made.

With any luck, the heritage trams may be clean this time.
They have looked distinctly unloved for some time recently.
Very few prepared to say anything these days (just not worth the hassle). Refreshing to see someone else comment on the increasingly tired unloved appearance. There consultants seemingly encouraged them to up prices to that of a preserved railway / railway tour price point.. yet honestly I question whether the fleet and offer remotely comparable. Even the recent private hires have been pictured covered in thick dirt leaving depot.
Eye watering prices again……
