December is shaping up to be quite a colourful month for the Blackpool tramway with some new adverts appearing on the Flexity2 trams. Following in the tracks of 004, now 010 has been adorned with new advertising vinyls promoting this year’s Christmas pantomime at the Grand Theatre.
010‘s new advert replaces its previous design for the summer season shows at the same venue. The tram now displays colourful posters for the Grand Theatre’s production of Cinderella, starring ex-Emmerdale actor Danny Miller and kid’s TV presenter Amy Thompson. This could well be the first time that a Blackpool tram has been used to advertise a pantomime! Indeed, it is very refreshing to see a short-term advert contract for the winter period, which shows that the tramway is now being taken seriously as a means of transportation all year round for Fylde Coast residents.
