Friday 28th August was the last Friday opening for the National Tramway Museum until the end of October and that is when the photos in this article were taken by Steven Hughes. We see Blackpool 762 and Leeds 399 in service and also take a look around the depot yard and into the Workshop where work continues on Blackpool 645 ahead of its launch as the new Access Tram.
A view under Bowes Lyon Bridge where the two passenger trams in use – Leeds 399 and Blackpool 762 – are seen passing at the Entrance.
Not long later and its 762 in the frame just after its come under the bridge and heads down to Town End.
Blackpool 167 is shunted around the depot yard.
Blackpool & Fleetwood Box 40 is seen coming back into the yard.
Leeds 399 is about to pass the Stone Workshop as it heads up the line.
Blackpool 762 returns to Town End. It passes a visiting Ford Prefect car – which has now returned to its usual home at the Great British Car Journey.
Glasgow 22 is also shunting around the depot. As it does we also see Leeds 399 on the main line.

Since this photo was taken there has been more progress on 645 and just seven days after this image it was able to undertaken several test runs along the entire length of the tramway.
