Its not only tramways in the UK who have a regular turnover of adverts on their trams – the Luas network in Dublin does the same! In this article we take a look at a couple of recent applications – 5001 and 5039 being the trams to be adorned in new vinyls.
5001 is one of the 26 Citadis 402 trams built by Alstom between 2009 and 2010. They were built as seven section trams but between 2019 and 2021 they all received two extra sections to help cater for demand on the network.
It is now carrying a green and yellow advert for Huawei.
Meanwhile, 5039 has an advert for Tesco. This design is mainly white and includes some vinyls on the windows. 5039 is one of the newest batch of trams built for Luas, 15 being delivered 2017/8 as nine section vehicles.
5039 had previously been advertising Bank of Ireland.
