The past week has seen another couple of new adverts appear on trams in Edinburgh with both 252 and 259 receiving new full vinyl wraps. The two advertisers on the trams are the Scotland national football team and Graham’s Family Dairy.
The advert on 259 came first and is in the usual full wrap style, which includes vinyls across the windows on two sections with the remainder of the tram just having adverts around the windows. Its mainly blue and uses the slogan “From Our Family to Your Family”.
This becomes just the second advert on 259 – and the first full wrap – with it having been another of the trams which has advertised C R Smith long-term. It featured C R Smith vinyls of the from, to version with the two locations for this one having been Carrbridge and The Forth. That advert was originally applied in August 2017 and its removal comes almost nine years later.
It means that just 265 and 266 now retain C R Smith adverts.
As for 252 it has lost its advert for the Omni Centre in favour of a wrap celebrating the Scottish national football team. Having frequently advertised rugby this is the first time the trams have been used to promote the football team, just as they are about to compete in the World Cup for the first time since 1998. Its in the colours of the Scotland football shirt and includes various slogans across the top and images of both the men’s and women’s teams.
This is the third ad for 252. It also once advertised C R Smith (October 2017-March 2026) before receiving the Omni Centre vinyls in April 2026. The Scotland Football advert is its first full wrap.
259 runs through Edinburgh Park as it reflects into the lake/pond.
