Blackpool Tramway Flexity2 007 is the latest tram to have had its repairs completed at Starr Gate Depot with the tram back in service on Saturday 18th April 2026.
As has been previously reported a number of the modern trams which operate the service on the tramway have spent time out of service as part of their ongoing maintenance but 007 has now had this work completed allowing it to return to action.
007 had last been in service back in January 2026 but after a three month gap it is now once again running up and down the Prom and onto Fleetwood. It was out on test on Friday 17th April 2026 and with nothing untoward discovered was passed over to operations for the next day.
The tram’s return to service was on specials between Pleasure Beach and Little Bispham.
Other news for the Flexity2s is that more have recently received the Blackpool Tramway and UK Tram Operator of the Year logos on their ends. 001, 002, 003, 007, 008, 009, 011, 013, 014, 016 and 018 all now have the additional logos affixed. 002, 009, 011 and 013 all ran for a day with just the UK Tram Operator of the Year sticker added before the Blackpool Tramway logo was added the next day.
004, 005, 006, 010, 012 and 017 have yet to return to service although 006 and 017 shouldn’t be too far away from being out on the Prom once more.

007 approaches the Metropole Hotel when working specials between Little Bispham and Pleasure Beach. This was its first day back in service, 18th April 2026.

The logos have continued to be added to trams. As seen in this view of 011 (Mamma Mia! side) some of the trams received the “UK Tram Operator of the Year” sticker before the Blackpool Tramway logo. This was 15th April at Rossall Beach. The tram has now received the second sticker.
