The next set of engineering works on the South Yorkshire Supertram network have been announced, and will be taking place over the May Day Bank Holiday Weekend in the Attercliffe area.
When: Saturday 2nd to Monday 4th May 2026
Where: Staniforth Road
Work due to take place: Replacement of the rails and concrete track slab
Service changes:
- YELLOW – trams will run Middlewood to Cricket Inn Road only. No tram Cricket Inn Road to Meadowhall.
- TRAM-TRAIN service will be suspended in its entirety.
- BLUE and PURPLE routes will run as normal.
Replacement Buses:
- YE1 – Fitzalan Square to Meadowhall Interchange
- TT1 – Fitzalan Square to Rotherham Parkgate
Normal services are due to resume from the start of service on Tuesday 5th May 2026.
