Nottingham Express Transit has gone a little less red after the advertising vinyls for e-on were removed from 205. They are set to be replaced by a new wrap for Sky Broadband although the tram has already been pressed into service with the advert seemingly half applied!
205 had received the e-on advert (which was its first full wrap ad) in December 2023 and was one of three similar designs for the energy company which were on trams (204 and 214 the others, both of which came later than 205’s vinyls).
But in mid-March the vinyls were stripped from the tram and a start has been made on applying new vinyls for Sky Broadband. But at the present time this is only featured on each end of the tram with the remainder of the tram in standard Nottingham Express fleet livery. As it stands it’s a reverse of many other wraps we see across the country where the ends of the tram keep fleet livery and the rest get advertising vinyls!
