Direct Debit offers savings on West Midlands Metro

Passengers on the West Midlands Metro are being told that the most cost effective way to travel this year will be by buying season tickets on Direct Debit. By using this method travel could cost less than £3 per day, saving hundreds of pounds over the year.

Michael Reading-Skilton, Metro’s Head of Commercial, said: “At just £79.40 per month for adults, our direct debit deal offers great value for money. This price covers travel across all Metro zones, equating to the same as paying for 12 individual day tickets which means customers effectively enjoy 18 to 19 days of free travel each month!”

Anyone who sets up a direct debit payment will receive a Swift card for use on the tram meaning there is no need to buy a ticket every time they travel. Travelling within a single zone, direct debit options start from just £35 per month. Anyone who travels more than three of four times a week will make savings when buying tickets via direct debit.
