Reece Hughes has been back to Manchester Metrolink again and in this pictorial article we take a look at some of the sights seen on Saturday 10th October 2026. This includes a couple of relatively unusual double advert pairings in service.
This first shot is taken at Victoria and shows one of the double advert pairings in operation. 3089 is the rear tram with 3092 leading the way – 3089 is advertising Trafford Palazzo and 3092 has vinyls for Starling Bank. Its not often that you see two adverts paired together but an even bigger coincidence on this occasion is that both of these adverts are on two trams!
Also at Victoria and we see 3094 at the rear of a double with a service from Bury to Ashton. 3094 is in a relatively recently applied brightly coloured advert for Love from Mayfield.
3094 is now seen at Shudehill.
3101 in its advert for Starling Bank is seen here calling at Shudehill on the way to Ashton. It’s a double unit and is paired with 3075 – another advert tram.
This is Crumpsall where we take a closer look at 3075 which is carrying an advert for Uniqlo. This is one of three tramways in the UK which has this advert – West Midlands Metro and Edinburgh Trams the others. (All Photographs by Reece Hughes, 10th October 2026)
