Another photo taken in Seaton for this edition of “Picture in Time”.
This undated image is taken at Seaton – before the Edwardian terminus was built – and shows two green and cream trams in use. On the right is 12 (which we saw outside the depot in last week’s image) which has “RESERVED” set on its blind whilst on the right is 8 which is loading passengers for a trip up the line. 8 is a historic tram in the history of the Seaton Tramway as it ran the first public services in 1970 between Riverside and Bobsworth Bridge.
On the right hand side we can just see Warners Holiday Camp which was a major part of Seaton for many years but has now been replaced by a Tesco superstore and a new housing development.
