Discounted tickets to travel by Metro to Wolverhampton Art Gallery

Wolverhampton Art Gallery is the latest organisation to reach an agreement with West Midlands Metro which will see those travelling to the gallery get a 10% discount on their tram ticket. And that’s not where it ends either as those with tram tickets can also get a 10% discount in Glaze the Eating Space.

Michael Reading Skilton, Metro Commercial Manager, said: “Wolverhampton Art Gallery is just a four-minute walk from our Pipers Row stop, and with trams from every eight minutes, the Metro offers one of the easiest ways to get to one of the area’s most important cultural centres. This latest partnership reflects our commitment to supporting local arts that truly reflect the diversity and talent to be found in the communities we serve.”

And Ian Fegan, Director of Vibrant City, added: “We are thrilled to be working in partnership with West Midlands Metro to promote sustainable travel to and from the city centre. Wolverhampton Art Gallery is located just a short walk from the Pipers Row Metro stop and provides easy access and opportunity for schools, residents and visitors from across the region to experience world-class culture in Wolverhampton”

To take advantage of the discount visitors to the gallery will need to visit the Art Gallery to receive a QR code. In addition volunteers at the gallery can enjoy a 15% discount which can be used by downloading the My Metro app and the scan a QR code provided by the gallery.
