Out to Sheffield again for this edition of “Lockdown Walks” as we head to the Middlewood terminus.
The single platform terminus at Middlewood is at the end of the Yellow route on the Stagecoach Supertram network. With an adjacent Park and Ride site which as well as a car park has good bus links including the Supertramlink service, it opened to trams on 23rd October 1995 as part of the final section of the original system, with the line from Shalesmoor to both Malin Bridge and Middlewood through Hillsborough opening from this date.
On a sunny mid-April day we see 106 arriving at Middlewood here with the car park entrance seen on the right-hand side.
