Nexus help out with restoration of Woodhorn Narrow Gauge Railway

Nexus have been supporting plans to reopen Ashington’s Woodhorn Narrow Gauge Railway following a donation of surplus building materials as well as staff spending one of their annual volunteer days to help the volunteers at the railway lay track.

Nexus staff raise nearly £7000 for mental health charity

Staff working for Nexus – operators of the Tyne and Wear Metro as well as the Shields Ferry, some bus services and interchanges – have managed to raise £6,900 for James’ Place after a year of fundraising activities.
