Lockdown Walks: Edinburgh Trams 254

Its another trip to an eerily quiet central Edinburgh for this edition of “Lockdown Walks”.

We’ve said it before, and will probably say it many more times before this is over!, but in pre-pandemic life the chances of seeing such a clear Princes Street of both pedestrians and other traffic during the middle of the day were pretty remote but in this view we can’t see another road vehicle whilst there is a dog walker outside Marks & Spencer and one other pedestrian on the same side of the road as our photographer.

The tram featured here is 254 which is running along Princes Street as it heads off to the Airport. This tram is in an advert for Parabola, with a colour scheme which we described when first unveiled as plaster like! (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 11th April 2020)
