In Pictures: Uniqlo’s squares spread to Manchester

Over the past year we have had several instances of the same advertiser being seen on Manchester Metrolink and West Midlands Metro, and as October begins we have another example with Uniqlo the latest to join the list.

We recently saw that West Midlands Metro 48 has received an advert for Uniqlo using their Thermal Clothing Technology Heattech branding, and now Manchester Metrolink 3075 has received a similar wrap.

3075 again uses the chequered design as seen on 48 (and as previously seen on Edinburgh Trams 273), with the only real difference being the location of some of the writing on the vinyls – mainly because of the different shape of the trams.

This is a return to advertising for 3075 after a break of just over a month when it lost an advert for Aperol Spritz. It has also previously carried adverts for The Body Shop, The Trafford Centre (three versions!), Chester Zoo, Caudalie Skincare, Procore, Cano Water, National Trust Blossom Watch and Captain Morgan.

This is the fifth time in 2026 that trams in both Manchester and on the West Midlands have carried similar ads – itv, Xero, Monzo and L’Oreal being the others.
