Edinburgh Trams to run extra services for Bon Jovi concert

While this summer hasn’t seen the major blockbuster multi night concerts at Murrayfield Stadium there will be a sell-out appearance by Bon Jovi on Friday 28th August – and to help people get to see the rock and roll legends Edinburgh Trams have confirmed they will be running additional trams.

With the line beyond West End towards Newhaven still closed as a result of the fire on Princes Street services will only be running from West End to the Airport but trams will still be running an intensive service before and after the concert.

A gateline will be in place at Murrayfield Stadium tramstop so anyone who is travelling by tram to the concert is advised to make sure they have purchased a ticket before getting onto the tram.

The fastest way to pay for tram travel is by Tapping On and Tapping Off with a contactless card or device at platform validators. In order to get the cheapest fare passengers are just reminded you must tap off when leaving the platform.
