JD Sports are a company who obviously think they know a good marketing strategy when they see one as they have come back for a fourth time to advertise on Manchester Metrolink. And this time its 3100 which is the chosen tram to carry their vinyls for next little while.
3100 had been back in fleet livery since its advert for xtb was removed in April but those couple of months in the silver and yellow are now over with it receiving its fourth advert of its working career.
The JD Sports advert features photos of people enjoying life whilst wearing products they have presumably purchased from their local store – or online of course! It also include the familiar JD logo at various points on the tram.
JD Sports have previously advertised on 3118 (November 2024-January 2025), 3081 (March-May 2025), and 3102 (November 2025-January 2026).
Other Manchester advert news concerns 3119 which seems to have had a replacement panel recently which has not received Tap and Go vinyls to go with the rest of its advert which has been in place since March 2025.
3100 runs along Mosley Street with a service to Manchester Airport. It is carrying its new advert for JD Sports.
