There will be an early end to services on parts of the Tyne and Wear Metro on Thursday 4th June 2026 to allow for essential track repairs to take place in the South Gosforth area.
From 2100 there will be no services between Haymarket and Regent Centre, and Haymarket to Four Lane Ends. A replacement bus service will run instead every 15 minutes.
Other changes will also be necessary.
From 2000:
- St James to Four Lane Ends every 20 minutes
From 2100:
- Pelaw to South Hylton and South Shields every 30 minutes
- Haymarket to Pelaw every 15 minutes
- Regent Centre to Airport every 20 minutes
Service is expected to resume as normal on Friday 5th June 2026.
