Its been a quiet few weeks of new adverts on Manchester Metrolink but as May starts to come towards a close that has changed with not one but two new adverts seen. That includes an all new design for 3104 whilst 3092 has become the second tram to advertise Starling Bank.
3104 is now carrying a mainly red advert for Courvoisier, which is a premium French cognac produced in Jarnac. It is apparently famous as “The Cognac of Napoleon”. The advert itself features a rather large bottle of the cognac and looks as if it could be aimed at those buying gifts for Father’s Day with the slogan “For our Father Figures” used.
3104 had been in fleet livery since March 2026 when it lost a short-lived advert for the MOBO Awards. It also previously advertised Manchester Airport (August-October 2025) and a partial ad for Singin’ In the Rain (October-December 2025).
A second new advert is on 3092 which is the second tram to carry an identical advert for Starling Bank as that on 3101. Starling Bank have frequently had multiple adverts when they take out a contract and so it was a surprise when 3101 was the sole tram, but this has now changed with 3092 joining it.
3092 is no stranger to Starling Bank adverts either as it previously had one July-August 2022. That was actually its first ever advert, since then it has had another four with Primark, Cuervo Tradicional Tequilla, Euro 2028 and xtb all advertising on the tram.
