The latest “A trip to…” goes to Edinburgh Trams with a small selection of images taken around Princes Street tramstop on 19th May 2026. Roy Calderwood with the photos.

We start off this look at the trams in Edinburgh with this view of 277 pausing at the stop with a service bound for the Airport. The tram is in a full vinyl wrap for Vision Scotland, which had only recently been added to the tram following the removal of a previous advert for Scottish Rugby.

262 has been advertising Square since it returned to service in November 2025, with the original advert being slightly revised in May 2026. We see the mainly black advert on the tram here as its at Princes Street on its way to Newhaven.

The 10 Emirates trams are still going strong, with it coming up to a year since they started to appear on the tramway. One of the trams is 258 which calls at Princes Street with a service from the Airport to Newhaven.

This is 256 which is seen going to Newhaven at Princes Street. Its another full wrap advert seen on the tram, this one being for National Museum of Scotland which was only its second advert ever when applied in July 2025.

And this round-up concludes with one of two trams to advertise the Royal Yacht Britannia – 274 (the other being 263). It is now approaching three years that this tram has carried this attractive wrap. Princes Street again with the service going to Newhaven. (All Photographs by Roy Calderwood, 19th May 2026)
