Another pictorial article as we head off to the Tyne and Wear Metro once again to take a look at some of the new Stadler trains in service on various dates in April 2026. Howard Forster provides us with the images on this occasion.
555 034 was delivered on 10th October 2025 and would then enter service on 12th February 2026. The unit is seen here at Cullercoats on 2nd April 2026.
Again at Cullercoats, and this time on 8th April 2026, we see 555 013 working a service to South Shields. This train was delivered as far ago as 16th December 2023 and would not enter service until 16th October 2025.
And the final shot shows 555 041 with a service to St James as it approaches Cullercoats on 29th April 2026. This was one of two trains to enter service on 18th December 2025 and it was delivered to the northeast of England from Switzerland on 4th September 2025. (All Photographs by Howard Forster)
