Saturday 18th April will see a historic day for Scottish women’s rugby as for the first time they will be playing a 6 Nations match at the main Murrayfield Stadium when they take on world champions England. And as is always the case when there are major events at the stadium the best way to get there will be by tram!
Edinburgh Trams will be running additional services both before and after the game – which kicks off at 1330 – and with the most tickets ever sold for a women’s sporting event in Scotland its set to be another busy day for the city and the trams.
Scotland will be playing a second home match later in the tournament when they play France on Saturday 9th May. That will be at the smaller stadium located next to Murrayfield, called The Hive, but is still expected to attract a large crowd.
The England match has been publicised on 277 since October 2025, showing once again the collaboration between Scottish Rugby and Edinburgh Trams.
