A 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital to be treated for injuries sustained after being hit by a tram in Nottingham City Centre on Thursday 15th May. The boy was hit at around 1000 with emergency services quickly on the scene to treat his injuries.
Trevor Stocker, Head of Operations at NET, commented: “This morning on May 15 at around 10am, a collision took place between a tram and a pedestrian in the Weekday Cross area. The emergency services were quick to attend the scene and the pedestrian is currently being treated for injuries sustained. We are currently working closely with the Nottinghamshire Police for what is now an ongoing investigation, and we thank the emergency services for their swift and prompt response.”
A Nottinghamshire Police spokesperson confirmed that the injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
