Seaton 11 leads the way in July’s mileage charts

Each month the Seaton Tramway provides a monthly newsletter to those of their e-mail mailing list and it often includes handy information about which trams have been used in service. The figures for July probably provides no real surprises with the three newest trams leading the way.

11 is the tram which ran the most – a total of 153 miles during the month which works out at 25 and a half trips along the line. It was closely followed by 9 (148 miles) and then 10 (131 miles).

Away from the newest trams (which are now over 20 years old!) and 12 leads the way with a total of 119 miles covered by the “open top Feltham”.

Showing the changeable weather experienced during the early part of the summer the three converted first generation trams which are now enclosed saloons on the Seaton Tramway also saw use during the month. Of these 14 was used the most (44 miles) with 16 seeing 28 miles of use and 19 20 miles.

The only one of the operational trams which wasn’t used at all during the month was 15 which is undergoing maintenance although they are hopeful that it will be back during August.
