Its probably so much “Out and About” for the trams we feature today but “In and Not About” as we take a peek into the depot at Beamish at the start of February to see which trams were taking a break.
Of course, January 2024 saw Beamish welcome a new permanent resident as Lisbon 730 arrived from Birkenhead. After arrival it was placed into the depot where work will take place to prepare it for a return to service – initially in its Lisbon livery but it will eventually received a more local livery. Its seen in the depot here with Newcastle 114 on the left hand side and behind that is the protective sheeting which still covers Gateshead 10.
Also at rest in the depot on this day was Blackpool 31 which is seen on the other side of the building. Alongside the tram is Teeside trolleybus 11. (Both Photographs by Trevor Hall, 4th February 2024)
