We continue with our random A-Z and the letter F comes next.
Chosen for this letter is Flexity2 – the class of tram which Blackpool chose for their new era when the tramway was upgraded, opening in 2012. Built by Bombardier in Germany, 16 trams were originally ordered for the tramway with a further two following in 2017 in preparation for the opening of the Blackpool North Railway Station extension. Blackpool were the first to get this model of tram but since then other examples have been built for Gold Coast, Basel, Antwerp and Gent, Suzhou and Melbourne.
