The period from 16th October to 12th November has not been the best four weeks of the year for the Tyne and Wear Metro with performance falling by 13% from the previous four weeks.
The performance figure released on the latest poster shows that 71% of trains were considered to be on time. The previous four weeks had been at 84%. Of note is that the same four weeks in 2021 were identical at 71%.
Whilst the poster still doesn’t give any details outside of the percentages (over half of it remains used as an advert – paperless ticket travel the latest campaign) the past few weeks have seen services suffer as a result of leaves on the line causing various delays across the network.
