Edinburgh Trams could be celebrating again later this year after it was revealed they have been nominated in five different categories at the forthcoming Scottish Transport Awards. These prestigious awards will be taking place in September in Glasgow.
Amongst the awards they have been nominated for are Operator of the Year whilst the new online Authority to Work system is up for the Most Effective in Road Safety, Traffic Management and Enforcement and the Excellence in Technology and Innovation categories. The Family Day Tripper ticket is nominated in the Excellence in Travel Information and Marketing Award category whilst the nominations are rounded off in the Frontline Employee of the Year category where Stuart Mearns, Assistant Engineering Manager, has been shortlisted having given first aid to a member of the public hit by a train.

The awards take place at the Raddison Blu Hotel in Glasgow during September.
