In this edition of “Lockdown Walks” we are again taking a look at Manchester Metrolink.
With reduced services running on most lines (although some lines have seen an improved frequency) the number of double trams in operation has increased to allow for increased social distancing. This has led to some lines which very rarely saw doubles running being more used to this and the Ashton line has not been immune to that as seen in today’s photo.
We are again at Ashton West here as 3089 (in an advert for the Dippy the Dinosaur tour) leads 3069 into the stop as it works a service from Ashton to Eccles via MediaCityUK. (Photograph by Steve Hyde, 10th December 2020)
