Sheffield is again the location for today’s “Lockdown Walk” as we feature another of the original Siemens-Duewag constructed trams.
The below photo shows 107 passing Hillsborough Interchange with a Blue route service to Sheffield Station. 107 arrived in Sheffield from Dusseldorf at the end of October 1993 – the sixth of the trams to be delivered to South Yorkshire. Originally numbered 07 it was renumbered with the leading 1 when Stagecoach took control of the system. Its also a tram which has only ever carried fleet livery – but has gone through the full range of these from grey to white to the current blue.
