Ticketing details for 167’s Fleetwood tour announced

Blackpool Transport have confirmed full details of how you can be on board visiting Blackpool ‘Pantograph’ car 167 for a full system tour on Sunday 22nd June, as part of the annual ‘Totally Transport’ event. Tickets for this special trip must be reserved in advance and will be made available on the day on a first come first served basis.

167 will be loading passengers at the temporary heritage tram stop at Harrowside (opposite the Solaris complex and close to the giant mirrorball!) on the southbound line, at approximately 1600. The tram will then continue south to Starr Gate where it will reverse before heading to Fleetwood Ferry, and will then return south. This is likely to be the only full system run with this tram accessible to the general public during its current visit to Blackpool, and as such demand is expected to be high.

To ride on this special tour, you will need to buy a normal heritage day ticket and also collect a special ticket from the Fylde Tramway Society stall in the Solaris building after 1100 on 22nd June. Once all tickets have been issued, no more will be available so anyone who wants to ride is urged to get to the Solaris nice and early! Note that this trip will be included in the price of a normal heritage day ticket, and that both this and your seat reservation MUST be shown to the conductor on boarding the car. In the interests of fairness, no tickets can be reserved before the day itself to ensure that all visitors have a fair chance at getting a seat.

British Trams Online will hopefully be providing some live updates from Blackpool on our Facebook page on Sunday 22nd June and details will be confirmed closer to the time.

The details above were provided by the official Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours Facebook page, which is the top source of all key developments regarding the heritage fleet and can be viewed here: https://www.facebook.com/BlackpoolHeritageTramTours?fref=ts

Anyone know if this great tram will pay a visit to Fleetwood on Tram Sunday – 20 July?
It would be fantastic if it did.

    • Andrew Waddington says:

The line-up of trams to operate at that event hasn’t been confirmed yet, although I believe it has been mentioned by at least one very reliable source that 167 is pretty much a certainty to be used. Keep an eye on this website as we will announce the full details once they are confirmed.
