“Trams &” returns for December and in this edition we’re in Heaton Park, Manchester.
As part of the official launch back into service for Blackpool Replica Vanguard 619 at the Heaton Park Tramway on 26th March 2023 the Blackpool theme was continued by a couple of visiting buses (with Blackpool trams operating the service exclusively as well).
During the event there was a special parallel run of trams and buses between Middleton Road and New Lakeside and its during this run that we see 619 stopping for photos having just turned from the line down to Middleton Road.
Two Blackpool buses are coming along with it and it’s the single decker that we can see in more detail here. Its an Optare Delta which carried the fleet number 133 when in Blackpool. It was new to Fylde Transport in 1991 and when Blackpool Transport took that operation over it moved along with it.
