Trams &: Den Haag 3026 & Bristol MW5G bus

For the first time in this series we head overseas for a view of a “Tram &”…

This image is taken at the coastal resort of Scheveningen in the Netherlands which was on the Den Haag system and shows HTM GTL8 no. 3026 which has just terminated with a line 8 service, a route which no longer operates.

The bus we see beyond the tram is a Bristol MW5G bus, fleet number 2572 in the Bristol Omnibus fleet when new in 1963. By the time of this photo it was owned by Keith Chadbourne who used it in his duties with the Scouts to transport people around the UK and beyond until it was sold on for preservation in 1999.

  1. Geoff IoM says:

The Den Haag tram route to Scheveningen still operates, as far as I know, although the route number is now 11.
