Passengers on board a tram in Nottingham had a memorable journey in mid-October as they were joined by the choir from Pulp Friction, a Nottingham based charity which is dedicated to empowering learning disabled and autistic individuals, to spread messages of kindness and inclusion during Hate Crime Awareness Week.
The choir travelled on board the tram between Clifton and Old Market Square and as well as bringing a joyful noise to proceedings they handed out campaign flyers, flowers and handmade paper hearts to passengers.
The performance was part of Pulp Friction’s wider campaign ‘Thumbs Down to Hate Crime’, which is being delivered in collaboration with Nottinghamshire Police and Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service.
Pulp Friction were one of NET’s Community Heroes in 2025 with the name of charity carried on a tram for 12 months.
