In Pictures: 47 returns to fleet livery on West Midlands Metro

One day you’ve got an advert and the next you’re running without it! Such is the world of modern advertising vinyls as West Midlands Metro 47 has just found out following the removal of its adverts for Monzo.

47 was running with its adverts on Thursday 8th October but on Friday 9th October it was back out in service with its full blue fleet livery in evidence once again. It had received the red Monzo vinyls in August 2026.

This was the third advert that 47 had carried (all this year), and all of them have also been seen on Manchester Metrolink! At the time of writing Monzo are still advertising on Metrolink.

In other West Midlands Metro news, 45 has returned to service after several months out of use.

47 calls at Bilston Central with a service to Edgbaston Village now back in fleet livery.

And here we see 45, also at Bilston Central, but off to Wolverhampton – despite what it may claim! (Both Photographs by Shiv Patel, 9th October 2026)
