KeolisAmey Luas have announced their senior leadership team ahead of the company taking control of operation on Dublin’s tram system from 1st September 2026. KeolisAmey were announced as the new operator earlier this year following a competitive tender which saw long-standing operator Transdev replaced (and despite the threat of legal action from the current incumbent which presumably has not been successful).
The new Managing Director of KeolisAmey Luas will be Tom Joyner who has extensive experience leading rail and transport organisations across the world. Most recently he was CEO at Etihad Rail and has previously been Managing Director for CrossCountry and Go-Ahead London.
It has also been announced that Jim Meade will serve as Chairman. He has over 40 years experience in the transport sector which included seven years as CEO of Iarnród Éireann.
KeolisAmey have said that their focus will be on “building on the network’s strong foundations, delivering excellent service for passengers and supporting the long-term ambitions for sustainable public transport across Dublin.”
